Catching Up Is Hard To Do
Since diving back into work at the end of July I really haven’t been around friends much. It was the mad rush to meet a couple of deadlines and now that we’ve met those goals I can relax a little. Meanwhile, life for everyone else seems to have gone on. I’m just now catching up on what’s happened to everyone. A few went to Hawaii, someone’s new car is almost here, a friend’s newborn is about to have some sort of Chinese ceremony, there’s been relationship ups and downs, and so on… This weekend I spent it running around to meet up with different people and/or talk to them over the phone. There was one friend’s birthday at a tiki lounge, a concert on Friday night, and I finally caught another friend in the Castro that I haven’t seen in months. I also got to see my parents for the first time in several months—quality time that is. (I did pop by once last month only for like an hour.) One of my aunts is coming into town next week too, so that’s even better.
I spent the morning also catching up on e-mail, checking out new pictures on Flickr, popping into Yelp.com.
Life is … good. Breathe in, breathe out.
